El Paso, TX
Open in 2017, The Substation is an outdoor retail and dining village where our Greetings from El Paso mural is featured.
This all happened through Dave, a local El Paso artist, who put us in contact with the architects on this project. We met with the team in the Lone Star State across the street from the future location. Together we discussed the materials we would need to make it happen from scratch, considering it was a blank construction at the time. They built us a wall specifically for the Greetings mural which we were thrilled about! We agreed to avoid painting the mural in the summertime for extreme temperatures, but even during 'cooler' months the sun was still blazing. We got to work in October 2016 with the RV parked in a dirt pile which is now a beautiful parking lot for customers. We visited The Substation twice since mural completion and we couldn't be happier with the outcome.
