We recently came across a cool feature on the Greetings Tour on Elle Decor!    You can view the full article on their website here: THE “GREETINGS TOUR” IS SPREADING HOMETOWN PRIDE ONE MURAL AT A TIME

Greetings From Elle Decor

Large letter postcards were ubiquitous in the ’30s, ’40s, and ’50s, when letter-writing was the norm and #travelgrams arrived by mail instead of on your phone.

Mural artist Victor Ving, and his girlfriend, photographer Lisa Beggs, are bringing the greetings back — in a way. The artistic couple has taken to the road to pay homage to the iconic postcards of yesteryear, and have spent the past five months driving their RV across the U.S. stopping in various cities to create one-of-a-kind “Greetings from…” murals.

And they’re just getting started.

Ving and Beggs spend time immersing themselves in each city they visit, using what they discover to then create a piece of public art that captures the local spirit.

When the project culminates, each mural will be documented in a Greetings Tour publication, along with a series of linen postcards. For the time being, the couple is documenting each mural on their blog.

Check out a few of their impressive creations below, and follow the rest of the Greetings Tour on Instagram. They just embarked on the Route 66 leg of the journey.
